                        We have an below urgent requirement from our client.


Title         :Storage Admin

 Location  :Pittsburgh, PA


Position Summary

This position is for a Storage administrator.  Advanced knowledge of enterprise storage systems and concepts is required.  The appropriate candidate will become part of an experienced team dedicated to the support of storage systems in our environment.  Off hours and weekend support are required along with less than 10% travel.  Participation in a rotating 24 hour / 7 day on-call rotation is required.  

Position Characteristics

·         Provides routine technical support with full responsibility and accountability.

·         Operates autonomously detecting and anticipating problems.

·         Must work closely with vendor resources on remote/local projects as required.

·         Designs, deploys, configures, and maintains storage solutions in an EMC/NetApp/Hitachi/SVC  SAN storage environment.

·         Research and make recommendations on storage products, services, and standards in support of procurement and development efforts.

·         Ability to work in large global IT support organization

·         Must have excellent written, verbal, presentation and project management skills

·         Must have experience working in accordance with a tightly controlled change management environment.

Technology Qualifications

·         Practical Knowledge & Experience

·         3 - 5 years of experience working on EMC, NetApp, Hitachi, IBM SVC, Cisco

EMC – Clariion CX-4, Centera, DMX4, VMAX, Solutions Enabler, SYMCLI, PowerPath, SRDF, SMC

NetApp - FAS3000, FAS6000, OnCommand System Mgr, Ops Mgr, Snapmirror, Multistore, OnTap upgrades

Hitachi – VSP, Command Suite, TrueCopy, Tuning Manager

IBM SVC – Mgmt software, MetroMirror, Flashcopy

Cisco 9506, 9509, 9513, zoning, vsan management

·         Unix administrator level skills for AIX, HP-UX, Red Hat Linux

·         Ad-hoc scripting skills for storage administration ( korn, bash, or perl )

·         Hands-on SAN/NAS/DAS troubleshooting experience.

·         Data Migration Methodologies

·         EMC, NetApp, Hitachi or Cisco certifications preferred .

Education

Bachelors Degree in field and 5+ years  of experience or industry equivalence gained via prior work assignments.
