Position: SAP BW Data Developer/Modeler

Location: Irving, TX

Duration: 6 months

Expert data modeler specifically in Oracle databases.  Must have a good understanding of the entire SAP BW environment.  Develops highly efficient data models.  Works well in a team environment and contributes by sharing ideas and knowledge with the rest of the team.

·        Responsible for developing high performance data models

·        In some cases interfaces with the business and other IT

departments to understand their needs

·        Documents databases and data marts

·        Responsible for Metadata Management

·        Supports production

·        Create tables in BW as well outside of BW for Data Services team

and other teams

·        Develop Stored Procedures, Functions and Triggers in Oracle

·        Write Scripts and DDLs to roll changes to production

 

Qualifications

·        Bachelors degree in computer science, math, or engineering or

Bachelor degree with work experience within the Business Intelligence domain, specifically in BW

·        Minimum of 7 years experience of Data Modeling in Mainstream

Databases

·        Minimum of 4 years Experience with SAP BW

·        Minimum of 2 year of experience in SAP outside of the BW Space

(other modules)

·        Understanding of servers, networking, security, monitoring

(Solution Manager, etc)

·        Excellent written and verbal communications Highly Critical (Will

be interfacing with the business daily)

·        Strong analytical skills solving problems outside the norm

challenges

·        3+ years experience with multi-dimensional data marts or data

warehouses (OLAP)

·        5+ years of experience with Oracle Databases

·        Very good knowledge of OLTP and OLAP models

·        3+ years of experience with Toad

·        2+ years of experience with ERWin

·        4+ years of experience writing PL/SQL

·        2+ years of experience with Metadata Management

·        Experience in the delivery of the physical implementation of

enterprise conceptual and logical data model solutions

·        Expert ability to design and develop data access methods and data

views

·        Expert ability to design and implement operational data store

solutions

·        Applied experience in data architecture for data driven

application

·        Data Architecture Modeling capabilities (Conceptual Logical

Physical); expert in data definition languages (DDL) to create database schema; applied use of third normal form (3NF)

·        Expert ability to interpret business concepts into data models and

physical technical components

 

Nice to Have:

·        Experience in Aerospace and Defense Industry

·        ETL experience, specifically in Business Objects Data Services or

Informatica

·        Front End Reporting Experience
