Job Title: Java Developer
Location: Silver Spring, MD
Duration: 06+ months with a strong possibility for extension
Rate : $40/-hr on C2C
Required Skills:
4 years experience in web development, of which, at least 3 years must be in developing enterprise solutions for Java Enterprise Edition (JEE). Other requirements include:
Experience with Java, HTML, HTML5, CSS, JavaScript, AJAX, XML/JSON, and SQL web application implementations
Experience in creating, implementing, testing, and maintaining full-featured "web 2.0" dynamic database-driven web applications, including user interface design, business logic, and data retrieval modules
Knowledgeable with the following software Apache, JRun, JBoss, Java/J2EE, JDBC, Eclipse, Notepad++, Subversion, Netbeans, and Maven
Must be familiar with development tools such as IDEs and configuration control systems
Experience required in object oriented programming, design patterns, JMS, web services, XML and related technologies
Experience with developing web applications in multi-tier architectures and with unit testing
Understanding of web application security and secure coding practices
Experience with source code management, software version control, and documentation
Ability to learn new concepts and technologies quickly and independently
Must possess strong verbal and written communication skills, organization skills, and be detail-oriented
Ability to interact with all levels of an organization in a professional, diplomatic, and tactful manner
Ability to work under tight deadlines and follow configuration management procedures
Ability to work independently and also is able to work as a team player.
