PowerBuilder Developer (face to face required after phone interview)
6 months
Rate: $45hr
Fairfax, VA
Our client employs a Power-Builder/Oracle system to review and monitor land development industry proposals to develop or enhance commercial and residential properties. Client is requesting contractor assistance to expand and meet existing and new business functionality requirements that include (but are not limited) to:
• Plan review fee calculations,
• Bond acceptance and release conditions ,
• Plan status email notification,
• Document scanning & plan integration,
• Database modification, integration of new data fields[1]
Duties and Responsibilities
The vendor chosen for this effort shall:
1. Perform all required PowerBuilder programming tasks (screen development, transactional updates to the database ) and develop related Oracle PL/SQL (stored procedures, triggers, batch programs) scripts.
2. Resolve existing PAWS system errors and conflicts.
3. Work with a team of DIT programmers whereby work will be distributed based on skillsets, code reviews, and business functionality requirements.
4. Prepare limited documentation of work performed.
Prospective candidates shall have comprehensive (i.e. demonstrated experience) "hands-on" technical knowledge/experience in the development and enhancement of PowerBuilder applications in an Oracle database environment. Oracle scripting (i.e. PL/SQL) experience is required to facilitate database updates initiated by fat client transactions.
Vendors shall include in their quote/proposals:
1. Name and resumes of proposed personnel.
2. Brief description of experience on similar projects, and their approach to this project.
