·         Work in coordination with a team of Cognos Report developers to expand the current reporting system.

·         Work with Business Analyst on analysis and logical design.

·         Perform complex SQL coding to facilitate reporting and testing functions.

·         Perform writing of complex stored procedures/triggers in an Oracle database utilizing PL/SQL

·         Modeling using IBM Cognos Framework Manager tools for several mission critical reporting initiatives including all layers of the model and package development.

·         Securing the models for data level, object level and package access security.

·         Create advance level reports using Cognos 8.4 and/or 10.2, which include but are not limited to several pages with conditional formatting and joining multiple queries to produce a single dataset for the report.

·         Create, modify and manage users and security for all projects using LDAP, Siteminder and Cognos Groups and Roles.

·         Transfer knowledge to other report studio users creating their own reports in person and using electronic technologies.

·         Migration of reports and packages through the 3 tiered environment using Cognos administrative capabilities.

·         Upgrading Cognos PowerPlay cubes from version 7.4 to version 10.x.

·         Mentor State staff and other contract resources as required.

·         Provide troubleshooting and end user support and problem resolution.

·         Participate in sessions to develop requirements for the reporting projects in Cognos Reporting.

 

Skills Needed:

·         84 months experience writing complex SQL for querying and development of reports.

·         84 months experience writing, developing and testing reports.

·         60 months experience coding and developing reports using Cognos web based reporting tools including Cognos Framework Manager.

·         48 months experience developing cubes for reporting.

·         36 months experience utilizing Cognos PowerPlay for developing reports.

·         48 months experience doing data modeling, data mapping, data migration and assisting in the design of data marts in an Oracle environment.

·         Associates Degree.  Proof of education must be submitted with all responses.
