The Specialist activities and responsibilities that will be required in this project include but are not limited to:

1. Define and implement strategy for DB backups, recovery

2. Create schema objects, define storage parameters, user privileges

3. Set up and review Oracle configuration parameters

4. Continuously and proactively monitor database performance and work with developers to improve the system performance

5. Coordinate with other DBAs, system administrators for the Software upgrades of DBMS or OS. Installation of Oracle patches as needed

6. Coordinate with system administrators for backups, storage and any system maintenance activities

7. Maintenance tasks including debugging, testing, and implementation.

8. Develop and/or modify technical and/or design specifications, technical writing and documentation

 

Skills Needed:

84 months experience with Oracle database performance monitoring and tuning, and setting up Oracle configuration parameters

84 Months of experience in Designing and Implementing Information Technology Solutions

84 Months of experience with PL/SQL and Oracle data modeling

72 months configuring and administering Oracle RAC, and managing large scale, complex projects under 24/7 environment without any downtime

Oracle Certified Administrator with 60 months of experience in managing complex databases

A copy of Oracle Certified Administrator certification must be submitted with the Candidate Response Form

24 Months experience with databases that interface with the Welfare Management System

24 Months of experience with Visual Studio 2012 IDE

24 months of experience in AIX environment
