Position: Layer 7 API Portal Developer

Location:  Northbrook, IL

Duration: 3 to 6 months (extension possible)

 

The Application Developer designs, produces the Layer 7 API Portal Development artifacts, develops UI components using CSS, HTML5, JQuery, Java and J2EE and unit tests the code.

Key Responsibilities:

Adhere to architecture design, guidelines and best practices

Scope projected work for projects and forecast the effort need

Utilize and develop reusable components for the Enterprise

Drive requirements analysis activities and develop the design of complex integration components. Produce and present documentation for these components.

Consult with Integration Architecture on designs

Develop recommendations for solutions including pros and cons

Support Integration Architecture in vendor selection and product evaluation

Troubleshoot operational issues in both test and production environments

Adhere to team SDLC processes and artifacts. Be a champion for the process.

Collaborate with DCIO's to deliver quality services and partnering during upgrades.

Foster and encourages solution reuse at the Enterprise level

Contribute to team processes and standard practices related to the design, development, and implementation of application solutions and patterns.

Perform application service life cycle planning including upgrades, versioning, phase out, and retirement.

Have experience on API Management, methodologies and work flow
