Role: Mainframe/Cobol Technical Lead
Location: Buffalo, NY and Tampa, FL
Duration: Very Long Term
Profile:
This individual will be the primary mainframe technical lead for a Fraud Monitoring system. This individual is responsible for all technical aspects of the project (including environment setup, code compilation and deployment, configuration, defect follow up, customization and training where necessary). On deployments where project managers are present, this individual will support the project manager to ensure that deployments take Gold code "from the shelf" and implement it for a specific region, with limited local customization. If no project manager is available the individual may assume some of the project management responsibilities. This individual will report to the Project Manager or Resource Manager for Global Software Delivery. This individual will be the technical resource representing the Global SFR team working with Regional IT Development Teams and business partners where necessary. The individual will be the first escalation point for technical issues by any GLT, analysts or project managers involved. The individual should be at a Consultant, or Senior Consultant level, GCB Level 4 (upper) - Level 5 (lower).
•Coordinate GRV code deployment
•Provide design solution for business requirements ensuring the technical design conforms to SWH standards.
•Participate in the design solution for any local enhancement to ensure adherence to SWH standards with a view to potential eligibility for globalization
•Work with other IT teams for a full solution as appropriate
•Analysis and coordination of product data mappings
•Supervise build of environments
•Consult with business partners or regional IT teams for application configuration
•Knowledge in COBOL, CICS, DB2, SQL, JCL, Endevor, TWS, VSAM, Expediter and File-aid
•Review MF code / JCL changes and batch schedules
•Conduct connectivity tests, performance tests and other tests as deemed necessary
•Oversee script execution and defect resolution as defined by project scope
•Knowledge in SWH Engineering principles
•Be a technical contact for products issues w/ vendor (if necessary)
•Work with Product Manager to include defect resolution /enhancements for a future release
SAS EFM experience is required for at least one of these positions. Cards processing experience is a major plus.
