Role: Sybase DBA with Oracle knowledge

Location: Herndon, VA

Duration: Long term contract

 

Skills: Sybase and Oracle DBA end to end support, shell scripting, performance and tuning, PL/SQL script creation and tuning

 

Job Responsibilities:

1. Manage all database objects in a large mission critical system.
   
2. Be able to provide end to end DBA support system and application side.
   
3. Analyze and resolve complex technical problems regarding the integration of object-oriented applications and infrastructure with relational database technology (Sybase).
   
4. Monitor databases and performs tuning enhancements to optimize their performance. Develop and maintain utilities to automate problem determination, change implementation, and monitoring activities.
   
5. Participate in data-sourcing, import and data validation activities.
   
6. Provide database change and release management.
   

 Sybase Requirements/Qualifications:

• 7+ years of professional experiences in Sybase administration. Prefers ( 4 -5 years)
  
• Work experience in both system and application DBA.
  
• Provide technical expertise in database area throughout the life cycle of the projects such as preparing database objects, refreshing databases from production to lower environment, migrating database objects from one environment to the other in accordance to SDLC.
  

Oracle Requirements/Qualifications:

• 2+ years of experience as an Oracle DBA
  
• Experience in Oracle performance tuning (SQL, database and system)
  
• Experience managing Oracle as applications DBA
  
• Experience in Oracle system management
  
• Familiar with data warehouse environment, including partition management
  
• Familiar with OLAP and data warehouse designs and concepts Requires occasional off hour and weekend work.
  

Role: Informatica Architect

Location: Herndon, VA

Duration: Long term contract

 

Job Description:

• 10 + Years of strong hands on Informatica 9.x/9.5/9.6 experience in architecting, engineering, performance/capacity engg, deployment standards in production, product integration, product support, overall fitment(product usage), sizing and setting up Informatica Environments.
  
• 7 + Years of hands on experience in platform configuration, code development, best practices, design patterns and use cases of MDM, Data Virtualization, Data Services, Proactive Monitoring, Data Exchange, Data transformation, Persistent data masking, Test data management, Power exchange and Power Center.
  
• 7 + years of hands on experience in configuration, design and development of large scale ETL and Enterprise Data Warehouse applications.
  
• 7 + Years of hands on Informatica process Automation experience using Perl and Unix shell scripting.
  
• 5 + years of experience with XML
  
• 5 + years experience with Web service development
  
• Provide consulting services to internal customers and stakeholders.
  
• Strong understanding of Oracle database, SQL optimization, SOA concepts, design patterns, tools, techniques and best practices.
  
• Strong ability to understand, document and communicate technical architectures, best practices, toolsets and solutions.
  
• Candidates should have experience with production support.
  
• ESB's such as MQ/JMS or Tibco EMS are nice to have skills.
  
• Must be detail oriented and possess strong problem solving skills.
  
• Demonstrates excellent communication, time management, and technical presentation skills.
  
• Ability to successfully work on multiple projects at the same time
