Position QA Manual Tester
Location : Charlotte, North Carolina
Duration : 6+ months

Max Rate is $40/hr on C2C

Must have:
GREAT Communication
Quality Center
Agile
JIRA
Cable experience
QA testing experience on a billing system ideally these systems (Icoms/NetCracker or ACSR/ACP/CSG)
 
Required:
experience testing browser based applications
experience with QC preferred, other defect tracking software OK
experience with Agile required
experience with Jira preferred, other project tracking software OK (Rally, etc)
experience testing API utilizing REST or SOAP preferred
standard manual test experience with strong test methodology knowledge
nice to have cable or telecom experience
nice to have mobile (IPad) experience
 
The CRM Test Engineer will be responsible for creating and executing test cases exercising internally utilized web based applications. The focus of this position is to contribute to the planning, estimation, creation and execution of the test strategy, test plans, test scripts and test data, on small to large complex projects as an individual contributor. Work closely with development, testing and subject matter experts during the entire life-cycle of the projects to insure product quality. Identify and advocate QA testing standards and processes. The CRM test engineer MUST possess excellent verbal and written communication skills, candidates that cannot clearly and concisely convey test status, bug details or blocking issues need not apply. 
Analyze business and functional requirements and user stories in order to document and develop test cases for manual execution.
Execute manual test scripts in order to validate acceptance criteria as provided in the user stories and requirements.
Provide succinct and accurate documentation and verbal notification of issues.
Mobile testing on devices for Android and iOS and desktop responsive design.
Collaborate with remote members of a team.
Effectively and actively participate within a cross functional team across multiple applications, domains and business constituents.
Enter clear and concise story bugs in Jira following the best practices and standards of the project team.
Utilize pre-defined and standardized test documentation, processes and templates.
Respectfully provide different and new perspectives during open team conversations and interactions.
Does not require frequent redirection, repeated clarification or explanation of information and instructions once they have been provided.
Other tasks and duties as assigned, relating to system integration and testing of new or existing services and products.
 
Job Requirements:
Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree with a concentration Information Technology, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Website Design or equivalent experience of two to four years of information system development and/or automated test tool utilization and reporting. 
Experience with CRM Testing: at least 1 year
Working experience testing web applications including RESTful and SOAP architectural styles
Must have strong verbal and written communication skills Working, hands on experience with cross browser testing is required- .

Splunk: Nice to have
SoapUI: Nice to have
Mobile Device Testing: iOS and Android – Nice to have
Outlook, Excel and PowerPoint and Visio (Office Suite) - MUST
Confluence Wiki: Nice to have
Selenium: Nice to have (Note the primary function of this role is not automation)
Billing system (Icoms, CSG): Nice to have
Command Prompt/Terminal: Nice to have
TOAD: Nice to have
Virtual Machine installation and use: Nice to have
SQL (the ability to manipulate the existing queries, understand table structures: Nice to have
SOA/RESTful API experience and understanding (not just familiar with concepts): Nice to have
Jenkins: Nice to have
Teleconferencing experience: MUST
