Windows Server Administrator/ Engineer
Responsible for maintaining the computer systems, server management including installing, maintaining and upgrading the servers. Will ensure the servers are backed up, and that the server data is secure from unauthorized access. May also produce and create reports, charts, manuals proposals and perform light programming (scripting). Must be able to plan, coordinate and implement software version changes and use utility tools to monitor elements of the system, such as memory, central processing unit (CPU) and program errors generated from a system or software problem. Must also have knowledge in systems design and configuration. Strong verbal and written communication skills is required.
• Candidate should possess 7-10+ years experience in a Distributed multi-server environment
• 7-10+ yrs Windows 2003 Server / Windows 2008 / Windows 2012 Server (installation, troubleshooting and administration)
• Experience with VMware or another virtualization product
• Experience with SCCM, SCOM preferred.
• Certification as a Microsoft Systems Engineer preferred.
• Excellent project management skills and strong interpersonal, problem-solving, prioritization, conflict resolution, analytical, influence, facilitation, negotiation and time and resource management skills. • High aptitude for quality documentation of technical processes • Strong, attentive listening skills with the ability/willingness to learn about business, system and organizational change. • Excellent oral and written communication skills, ability to effectively communicate with all levels of management. • Ability to manage multiple priorities and resources in a dynamic environment across various sites, and organize complex information. • Strong knowledge of organizational procedures and policies, products and services.
