Job Title: Devops Engineer
Location: Peoria, IL 61629
Duration: 12+ Months Contract
Rate: $40-$42/HR on C2C Max

Critical Technical Skills:
2+ years of industry experience in configuration management, build and release engineering
2+ years of distributed application development (Java or .Net)
2+ years' experience with tools for version control, build and deployment in Azure PaaS including Microsoft Visual Studio Team Services or Team Foundation Services
Experience supporting configuration management, continuous delivery practices and automation frameworks in complex systems that including Hadoop and Storm in addition to tradition web apps and web services
Strong task automation skills including PowerShell and Azure Resource Manager
Job Description
As a DevOps Engineer you will apply expertise in computer application development, configuration, automated testing and deployment.
This role has a keen eye toward the use of tools in the entire software delivery process.
Some of the tools used are coding testing tools, configuration management tools, continuous integration tools, or post-deployment testing tools. Configuration management applies not only to the source code for the service but also all of the input for the various tools.
The DevOps Engineer role is responsible for the automation and care and feeding of the various tools used in the DevOps toolchain.
Responsibilities:
Automate and oversee execution of the build pipeline process including configuration management tools, continuous integration tools and post-deployment testing tools.
Deploy code and maintain development and production environments per Change Manager.
Work with Application Delivery teams and Reliability Engineer to resolve any post deployment issues.
Work closely with the application development and QA teams providing guidance and developing solutions to achieve continuous delivery.
Work with application delivery teams and operations to develop plans to minimize the impact of system or procedure changes relative to the build pipeline.
Introduce new technologies and develop standard practices for the build pipeline.
The position manages the completion of its own work assignments and coordinates work with others.
Based on past experiences and knowledge, the incumbent normally works independently with minimal management input and review of end results.
Desired Skills:
1+ years' experience in Agile development
Experience with configuration management and deployment of Azure relational and no-SQL databases, HDinsights, Apache Storm, Spark
Experience creating dashboards using Visual Studio, PowerBI, web technologies
Soft Skills Required:
Demonstrated strong problem solving and technical skills * Proven strong communication and collaboration skills
