Testing Specialist - Data Migration Tester

Location : Columbia - MD // Herndon - VA
Duration: 6 Months +
Work authorization: Only Citizens and Green Card
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Certify the data migration system as being tested and validated
- Perform testing to validate that data is being migrated correctly through the various phases from source, to cleanse, staging and ultimately target.
- Should possess excellent writing and analytical skills
- Should possess excellent communications and presentation skills
Qualifications:
- Undergraduate degree or equivalent experience.
- 4 years experience testing medium - large web-based, client server and Java-based systems
- Good knowledge of different phases of test lifecycle
- 4 years experience creating test cases and test evaluation reports
- 4 years experience in UI, database, functional, regression and negative testing
- At least 2 years Data Migration Testing experience
- Very good database skills such as T-SQL, ability to read data models, identifies tables/columns impacted by a function and execute SQL statements.
- Basic programming knowledge such as HTML, MS Access, MS-DOS, UNIX, etc. is desirable. Knowledge of MS-Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Visio) is necessary.
- Knowledge of creating Database Schema and running ETL Jobs
- Knowledge of IBM Data Stage
