Location: Phildelphia,PA
Duration: 6+ Months
Description:
Years of Experience: 5 to 8 years experience as a SQL Server Developer.
•3 to 5 years experience with database design and development.
Education Required: Bachelors Degree
- Taking ownership of the development side of working with SQL Server to stand up database utilized for reporting
- Take ownership of existing database code and schema, as well as trouble shooting and improving.
- Ensure production and development environments and maintenance.
- Responsible for all aspects of database design, development and deployment.
- Produce ER data models.
- Advise on enhancing data integrity and availability.
- Constantly improve the SQL Server environment, and processes.
- Manage Integrity, Index Tuning, and Production refresh of SQL Server databases.
- Excellent knowledge of XML Data type, XML Shredding and related performance tuning.
- Experience with ETL Technologies (SSAS / SSIS / SSRS /MDX/Pentaho/Informatica) and workflow/ingest/automation development
- Experience with the following: SOA, .net/C#, WCF and ORM.
- Experience with Database stored procedures and data structure definition is a must
- Experience with aggregation and advanced joins for multi-dimensional datasets
- Business Analysis background is a plus, as there is a need to perform rollups and metric calculations
- Experience with Database stored procedures (PL/SQL), SQL query structure and functions, and data structure definition (DDL) is a must
- Experience with automated data extraction from a variety of sources (flatfiles, FTP server, via REST/API calls, etc.)
- Experience with automated data quality checks and error handling
- Monitoring and alerting experience for production-grade ETL jobs is a plus
Additional Preferred Skills:
- Familiarity with Tableau and/or other reporting technologies
