Note: just not a simple SQL DBA, need strong guy this role, strong T-SQL coding is must
Description
A database administrator (DBA) is responsible for the performance, integrity, and security of a database system. Additional role requirements include installation, configuration, monitoring and troubleshooting, and maintenance.
Primary Responsibilities
. Ownership of production environment for the purpose of ensuring product availability and stability
. Ensure product consistency with technology standards
. Perform implementation activities such as client installs, product releases, product upgrades, new product installs, merger and acquisition activity
. Maintain/upgrade production and pre-production environments as needed
. Ensure production and pre-production environments follow industry best practices
. Production support of the environment (on hours and off hours)
. Participate and own documentation in the Service Transition process
. Own and manage multiple and concurrent projects while maintaining day to day activities
. Own and participate in communications via meetings and written communications.
. Own day to day issue management via Ticket request system
. Own participation in Enterprise Change Management and Incident Management processes
. Leadership of others in Service Management disciplines
. Reporting and analysis of eDelivery Service Management performance
. Guide and mentor less experience team members
. Capacity planning and forecasting
Requirements
. An interest in process improvement, knowledge sharing and documentation
. Great communications skills
. Ability to manage multiple priorities and organize time effectively
. Flexibility to work different hours as needed for support
. Minimum of 5 years SQL Server experience
. Minimum of 2 years T-SQL coding and debugging experience
. Strong knowledge of T-SQL and database tuning
. Strong knowledge of database design concepts
. Knowledge of Microsoft Clustering
