Must have Java/FIX Protocol background with strong fixed income as well.

 

Seeking an experienced Java developer to work on implementing an open architecture fixed income trading platform. Client deliverable is an open and competitive fixed income marketplace that can be accessed by the sales force. Projects will include ECN connectivity, market data capture and aggregation, order routing, and price inquiry capabilities.

 

REQUIRED:

• Strong Java and web service skills

• Experience with open source frameworks including Hibernate and spring

• Messaging middleware such as WebSphere MQ

• Database experience; DB2 a plus

• 7+ years experience

• FIX Protocol

• ECN connectivity

• In-memory or time-series databases

• Knowledge of fixed income products

 

The candidate needs to be motivated and self-directed, and able to handle all aspects of the technology development life cycle. In addition, the candidate will be required to work closely with the business, and will require strong problem solving and communication skills.
