Job Description and Skills Required

 

PROJECT OVERVIEW:

UCB/POR (Utility Consolidate Billing / Purchase of Receivables) is a regulatory project at ComEd to support Utility Consolidated Billing as ordered by the ICC (Illinois Commerce Commission).  As part of this program changes to a Customer Data Warehouse will be needed to interface with the Retail Office system as well as other miscellaneous changes to the Customer Data Warehouse will be needed.

 

Responsibilities and Qualifications:

Technical Skills:

3 Years of report development experience with Hyperion/BRIO reporting tools. 

          –         Report design

          –         Dashboard creation

          –         Report development

         –         Report Performance Tuning

          –         Metadata Repository Management

 

Preference to developers with Hyperion System 9 Interactive Reporting experience.

          

Oracle Data Base (9 or 10)

          –         Proficient in SQL

 

Familiar with Data Warehousing/Business Intelligence

          –         Principles/Concepts

          –         Report Development Best Practices

          –         ETL understanding (knowledge of Informatica a plus)

 

Industry: Utility/Energy Delivery (not as important as technical skills)

 

·Requires a Bachelor degree in Computer Science

·Strong analytic and problem solving skills

·Good interpersonal skills

·Good writing and communication skills

 

Deliverables:

The deliverable will be the Hyperion reports and the associated documented test results.  Also expected is timely status at the request of the leads.

 

ACCEPTANCE CRITERIA/TESTING:

Unit Test results will be generated for the purposes of validating the changes to the new ComEd programs.  In addition, code reviews will be conducted to ensure adherence to ComEd's standards
