Description:

 

Sun Solaris Systems Administrator

 

We are currently engaged in a project that requires a Sun Solaris Systems Administrator on a consulting basis who will be responsible for supporting a Sun Server (Solaris 10) infrastructure.

 

In this role, the Solaris Systems Administrator will be responsible for:

 

·         Day to day Administration of Sun Solaris 10;

·         Support & Maintenance on Sun Solaris Admin ;

·         Setting up & Administration of SUN Solaris servers hosting SAP/ DB2;

·         System Administration using Solstice Disk suit and Veritas Volume Manager;

·         Work with a variety of support and application development teams to debug, troubleshoot and optimize Sun Solaris OS;

·         Optimizes disk storage and manages disk space allocation;

 

The appropriate individual will have demonstrated experience in the following:

 

·         Sun Solaris Systems Administrator focus;

·         Sun Fault Analysis

·         Knowledge of UNIX internals;

·         TCP/IP, DNS and NIS;

·         Well versed in UNIX security, system performance, troubleshooting, clustering, and fluent in shell scripting;

·         Prefer Sun Systems Administration Certification

·         Experience with Sparc-VI and Sparc-VII based servers - M-CLASS.
