Job Description:
Minimum of 3-5 years experience directly creating and executing search engine optimization projects
• Exceptional quantitative analytical skills and aptitude including intermediate to advanced Excel skills
• Minimum one year experience in a client-facing position
• Strong software use skills including in-depth knowledge of Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Access), and aptitude to quickly learn new tools
• Excellent interpersonal skills, including extremely strong written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to handle multiple assignments with effective resolution of conflicting priorities
• Exceptional problem-resolution skills including the ability to think creatively in the development of ideas/solutions that will contribute value in a dynamic, client-centered environment
• Ability to work well in a team and shine as an individual
• Advanced SEO techniques for link building, link baiting, ranking for targeted keywords, increased referrals and conversion
• Sound understanding of user experience for the web
• Knowledge of Webtrends Analytics 8.0+ and Google Analytics a plus
Responsible for leading and managing the enterprise search engine optimization (SEO) strategy, implementation and measurement
• Responsible for site analytics administration including custom reporting, campaign administration and user administration
• Solid competency in content development, strategy, structure, tone and language to increase our rankings through engaging copy
• Knowledge and understanding of search engine optimization ethics and the major search engine policies
• Knowledge and understanding of current search engine algorithms and methods
• Maintaining relationships with the main search engine partners (Google, Yahoo!, Bing and Ask) and a working knowledge of each engine interface, as well as an understanding of new and evolving product offerings
• Fundamental understanding of XHTML, HTML and CSS web development languages
• Experience with social networking applications
• Administer and optimize our in-house search engine results for our public, extranet, intranet and secure sites
• Expertise in universal search practices including image search management, mobile search, international search, new media optimization, social media, news and local listings, shopping, video and blog post
• Experience with ad services
• Monitoring competitor sites and the general marketplace to ensure our sites maintain a competitive advantage in SEO
• Outgoing keyword research, analysis, recommendations and execution
