*Business Purpose of Project /Project description

Migrate exiting Cognos 7.x reports to 8.x

 

*Job Functions or Responsibilities

• Responsible for end to end migration solution of all Cognos (version 7 to version 8) components • Develop high level and detailed architecture and design documents • Implement the entire architecture based on the design • Provide best practices for report migration and performance tuning. • Responsible for developing Framework Manager Models; and applying proper securities and publishing packages. Write detailed technical specifications and implement them. • Manage and coordinate with offshore Cognos resources • Coordinate and participate in environment setup

 

*Must Have Educational Qualifications/Skills/Experience (Basic Qualifications)	*Minimum Years Required
Total Exp in Cognos Reporting tools	7
Cognos v7.1/7.4 to v8.4 Migration	3
Cognos 7.x  report development exp	3
Cognos 8.1 & above version	5
SQL Server Database	3

 

*Must Have Soft Skills/Experience (i.e. communications, environment)

Must be excellent at communications, requirements understanding and identification.  Must be able to write SQL queries using standard query tools  and be able to work with Office tools for use in documentation, presentations, etc.
