Position: Infrastructure Engineer

Location: Chicago, IL

Duration: 4+ months

 

The person MUST have HP Data Protector.  They need to know HP, XP, or EVA Storage.  Some knowledge of SAP ECC and BI is a plus.  And overall 3-5 years of infrastructure engineering experience.

 

Required Skills:

 

Must be flexible on schedule to be able to work some Saturday nights for system maintenance. Be able to provide on-call coverage. Under limited guidance, implement the technical systems requirements for Clients global business computing needs generated by project teams. Practices established change management processes in the execution of duties to assure performance levels remain at service agreements. Serve as a consultant on the technical aspects of implementing and configuring the Unix Server, Networked Storage, and Consolidate backup environments that run the Company's application solutions (i.e. SAP ECC & BI) and the supporting sub systems (i.e. Oracle DBMS, SAPDB); Assists others in implementing defined solution architecture to shape business application software and associated subsystems into integrated units to efficiently meet global business requirements; Assists in maintaining, and testing backup routines for the business applications in alignment with the overall Global Data center backup strategy to provide for business application recovery from hardware failure or the event of an emergency that invokes the company computer system recovery plan. 3-5 years of infrastructure engineering experience with HP-UX Operating Systems, HP Integrity Severs, HP XP and EVA Storage, and HP Data Protector backup software.

 

 

Must Have Excellent Communication Skills
