This is for one of our client opening for Avaya Consultant in Tampa, Florida. This is a 7+ months Contract position. The hourly rate is DOE.

Certification\Training:
Avaya ACA, ACS or ACE
4 - 9 years of relevant experience in Network/ Telecommunications

Job Description: 
· Assist with Avaya PBX and Session Manager testing/certification prior to production implementation.
· Assist in Voice Engineering Lab Activities such as installing hardware, software and networking.
· Perform installation and configuration of Avaya PBX, System and Session Manager, Modular Messaging, Integrated Management, and network management tools.

Technical Skills:
In-depth knowledge of Avaya PBX's, SIP trunking, H.323 and SIP.
Hardware: Candidate must be knowledgeable with the following hardware
Avaya S87xx, S85xx and S8800 Servers.
G250, G350, G430, G450 and G650 Gateways.
46xx, 96xx and H.323 and SIP soft phones.
Software: Avaya ACM 2.x, 3.x, 4.x and 5.x. Avaya Session Manager 1.1 or 5.2

Working knowledge of Avaya Servers, ESS and LSP's. Candidate must be able to install and configure an environment that consists of core servers, ESS and LSP's. Must understand core routing, IGAR and DPT features. Ability to upgrade and update PBX's with patches, firmware and new software. Candidate must be able to test new firmware and software based upon common testing tools that are available within the PBX and other tools such as ethereal.

Non-Technical Skills
Language skills: English mandatory (Must possess strong written and verbal communications) Excellent assertive communication skills
Must possess good customer relations skills
Must possess ability to work independently and be well organized
Ability to identify technical issues/problems
Able to work within very accelerated deliverable dates.
Must work well in a team environment.
