Location: CHARLOTTE, NC

The Physical Data Modeler is responsible for the design and instantiation of the physical data model, based on the logical data model. This includes creating the base tables, associative tables, and views, and choosing and creating all indexes. The Physical Data Modeler uses input from the Business Information Modeler, the Capacity Planner, the Database Administrator, and the ETL Consultants. This individual must have the skills to understand the logical data model as well as the business requirements. The Physical Data Modeler may be the Lead Consultant on a project;

Customer confidential. Teradata DBA and Physical Database Designer. Teradata Database Administration experience with physical database design skills. Must be able to convert legacy data structures and new sources into efficiently designed physical structures. Familiarity with DataStage and OBIEE highly desirable.
