Client is looking for a Java Developer for a 6 months project in Mn . They are preferring Local candidates only. The description is as follows. They are not looking for backend java but object oriented core java developers. we are looking for a senior developer.
Job Description:
o Good Java fundamentals
o Strong computer science fundamentals, not Java EE skills
o People who have Java EE experience as their only exposure to OO, especially in slower-moving IT organizations are likely to be rejected without a phone screen.
o People with a working, real-world knowledge of an OO language outside of Java (such as Ruby, Smalltalk or Lisp) are highly desirable.
o Strong true OO Development experience/knowledge
§ Someone committed to SOA is not a good candidate
§ Must be able to think outside the J2EE/SOA box
§ The different layers and lack of business rule awareness is not how they are doing it
o Good interpersonal skills
§ Working closely (paired up) – will need to get along with everyone
o Agile development
§ True Agile development
§ Scrum
§ Pair programming (rotation – pairing with each developer)
o Test Driven Development – actual experience and understanding why is a Big Plus
o Flex or Actionscript is a Plus but not a show stopper
o Product Development experience would be very helpful
o Very interesting Project
o Excellent OO Architect leading
o Developers are needed, not designers/architects to redesign things
