The Virginia Department of Health's (VDH) Office of Information Management (OIM) is recruiting for a Web Content Developer.
Works under supervisor's guidance and independently performs tasks, a wide degree of creativity and latitude is expected.
3 to 5 years of experience in the field or in a related area
Job Description:
This position will be responsible for creating and/or acquiring content for Web sites and other online communications. The individual in this position will provide continuing innovative Web development, maintain and monitor Web standards, and perform testing and maintenance for the Virginia Department of Health (VDH) Web sites.
This position will assist in the effort to make all VDH Web sites Section 508 compliant, as well as provide training and support to internal staff in other VDH programs regarding Web standards (design, usability, troubleshooting, etc.).
This individual will work in the Office of Information Management as a member of the Web team.
This job may require extended and non-standard hours of work during health emergencies.
