Project Title : Informatica Developer (Must be Citizen or Green Card)
Duration : 6 Months with possible 6 months ext
Location : Charlotte, NC
Rate : Open
Must Provide:
• Location of where the candidate worked or was educated (i.e., City and State or City and Country if outside the USA).
• Start and end dates of Employment and Education must detail the month and year.
• Work experience must detail Company Name/Division and Department if relevant.
• Must state whether a degree was achieved or if not, then the number of hours earned towards the degree.
• Description of project work including: business purpose and value, budget, size of staff, technologies used, timeframe, etc. NOTE: Resumes that don’t meet these requirements will not be considered for the respective position.
Key Skills:
• Develops ETL processes using the Informatica and/or IBM Datastage platform; also required are OOP paradigm skills, as well as experience with J2EE APIs, protocols and development of multi tiered J2EE applications.
• Examples of current J2EE application program interfaces (APIs) are EJB, JDBC, JMS, JNDI, JTA, etc.
• Excels at analyzing functional needs that drive the analysis and technical design of quality technical solutions; recommends solutions that are aligned with business / IT strategies and complies with corporate architectural standards.
• Serves as SME in aspects of Informatica ETLs and J2EE application software.
• Resolves application and technical problems of the highest complexity.
• Provides mentoring and training to junior staff.
• Excels at working collaboratively with IT staff on development, troubleshooting, and other technical efforts.
• Translates business requirements into functional / technical specifications; ensures implementation of these specifications.
• Create and maintain Informatica ETLs
• May develop using J2EE technology
• Excellent knowledge of programming / systems analysis, as well as quality assurance, prototyping, construction, integration, and migration functions; possesses an excellent understanding of programming languages, development tools, and the current environment.
• Displays problem solving and analytical skills, using them to resolve technical problems; possesses an excellent understanding of business requirements and IT strategies.
• Draws on extensive knowledge base (e.g., infrastructure, technology, and applications) to analyze problems of the greatest complexity and contribute to troubleshooting efforts.
• Leverages excellent design understanding and/or capabilities (e.g., database, application code, reusable objects, and interfaces) to optimize development efforts in a distributed environment
Qualifications:
• A minimum of 3 years recent experience developing with Informatica and/or DataStage.
• A minimum of 6 years experience developing Object Oriented applications in a full SDLC environment for a financial services firm (i.e., institutional/retail brokerage, bank, or asset management), with a minimum of 5 years having developed applications with J2EE and Web technologies.
• B.S. in Computer Science, MIS or Electrical Engineering or a related quantitative discipline.
• Graduate degree in Business, Computer Science or a related quantitative discipline is a BIG plus. .
• Experience with data-warehousing concepts and development a BIG plus.
• Experience developing with Acutate and/or Gentran a BIG plus.
• Working knowledge of Fixed Income Securities or Commercial Real Estate a BIG plus.
• Must be a US Citizen or possess a Green Card . No H1B please
