Position Title: Project Manager ( Business unit integration)
Location: Livingston, NJ
Duration: 6 months to 1 year
Description:
· Responsible for coordinating, defining, staffing, and managing one or multiple projects. The Project Manager works across the business, IS management, Quality Assurance and Testing, Systems Analyst, Software Development, and Technical Writing teams to ensure the delivery of a high quality software application.
· Primary technical point of contact with management and various technical personnel on project from project inception through completion.
· Develops project schedules, coordinates project status meetings, manages resources in all phases of software development lifecycle.
· Works with the project business owner to oversee delivery performance, ensure delivery quality and report schedule, cost, and execution performance. Graduate degree preferred
· The Business Unit Integration (BUI) project manager oversees the integration of Business Unit(BU) IT staff into the central IT organization and is responsible for the day-to-day activities that make an integration successful, including:
· Work with and provide counsel to transition managers and senior leadership on integration of business unit staff into the organization
· Provide hands-on project management for small to large complex projects related to BUI
· Participate in business unit, detail due diligence and manage the integration issues when the BU moves closes.
· Perform process improvement analysis and provide action plan to resolve integration issues.
· Interact with corporate functional experts and business unit and/or subsidiary functional integration members, and manage their activities during integration.
· Conduct regular project reviews, and document results, best practices and lessons learned.
· Provide guidance and assistance to company personnel involved in the integration process.
· The Successful Applicant We are looking for an individual with the following traits:
· Experienced project manager who has served in multiple functional and leadership roles within a multi-national organization
· Previous integration leadership experience and demonstrated strong interpersonal skills are strongly sought.
· Diversified knowledge of operational functions such as IT, HR, Finance, etc.
· Comfortable managing large and complex multi-national projects, resolve issues, and take appropriate actions under a lot of uncertainty and ambiguity
· Able to create a network of functional experts and navigate through them to get job done.
· Strong Customer Relationship Management skills are a necessity
