Experience:
Around 7-12 years of experience in QA Test methodologies, Test planning, Test designing, Test execution and Automated testing using Microsoft technologies.
Experience in testing complex distributed products a big plus, especially in the industrial automation area.
Responsibilities:
Develop Test Plans, Test Design Specifications & Test cases specifications to ensure good test coverage
Executes manual and automated test cases for Functional testing, Integration testing & Performance testing
Report new software defect CRs and Verifies resolved CRs
Develop Test Automation Design Specifications & Test automation scripts to ensure a robust, scalable, maintainable test automation suite using Microsoft Visual Studio, C#.NET, and CodedUI.
Analyze development design artifacts and ensure adequate test coverage of the architecture
Analyze the impact of changes to the product code base and architecture and plan test execution to ensure changes are well tested
Validate deliverables from outsource partners.
Skills required:
Experience with testing multi-tier complex products and/or distributed architectures on Windows OS.
Programming skills:
Proficient in C# .NET (must have), and C++ (nice to have)
Working knowledge of testing processes/SDLC, Agile, and Test Driven Development.
Ability to develop and execute test Design specifications and test cases.
Test Automation skills: Keyword based automation, SilkTest, C# & ADO .NET based test.
Experienced with code churn analysis, white box and grey box testing techniques and methodologies.
Ability to analyze complex problems and debugs software products through the use of systematic tests.
Strong written and oral communication.
Needs a minimum of 8 to 10 years of experience in software test and/or development.
Works well with offshore teams in large outsourcing engagements.
