- Perform end-to-end Cognos Administration, including troubleshooting, analysis, system upgraded, fixes, and patches of enterprise Cognos applications,
- Perform requirements gathering, reporting architecture, design, and documentation.
- Play a key role in designing and customizing architecture of highly innovative IBM Cognos projects.
- Analyze Data Warehouse and Business Intelligence Reporting Functional Specs provided by Business Users, then create Technical Specifications to design Cognos solutions.
- Install, create, and manage the Cognos Application Suite, including ReportNet, Powerplay cubes, Visualizer, and Transformer for enterprise BI Reporting; educated business users in use of ad-hoc jobs that can be run on-the-fly, as needed to provide valuable customer data and support informed decision-making throughout the organization and beyond.
- Design and implement Cognos Best Practices for reporting solutions to meet the information and reporting needs of management and business departments.
- Performance Optimization: Learn to assist in the optimization of Cognos source data (OLAP and OLTP) coming from Oracle PL/SQL and Microsoft SQL Server.
- Support cube development, management dashboards, change management controls, KPI for decision support and exceptions management.
