Title: Data Architect
Location:

Requirement / Responsibilities:
Works closely with customers, vendors, business analysts and application development project teams in order to resolve information flow and content issues. Develops database and warehousing designs across multiple platforms and computing environments. Analyzes the business requirements of the user community and designs logical and physical data models using entity relationship and/or dimensional modeling tools.
Unique Qualifications / Skill Sets:
Minimum of 7 years experience in Data Analysis and Database Design
Logical and Physical Data Modeling
Experienced with Relational Database concepts
Strong skills in ETL tools (Data Stage preferred).
Proficient in data modeling tools
Strong DB2 knowledge
Experience with mission critical transaction oriented databases
UNIX/Linux scripting is required
Knowledge of financial industry and banking concepts required (inter-bank settlement preferred)
Candidate Requirements:
This selected candidate will be experienced in leading data architect activities for major development/re-engineering business applications.
The person will have experience working with developers, current system SME’s, Business SME’s and DBA’s to develop an overall database design for projects.
He/she will have a demonstrated ability to develop a logical database design that support short term and long term functionality requirements for projects. This includes developing a full data dictionary and designing efficient and complete data table structures.
The person will possess expert DB2 knowledge.
He/she must be able to present experience in working with current system SMEs and business SME’s to quickly gain an understanding of the current database.
This position is a hands-on position and may entail building ETL procedures, perform database schema design and setup, and liaise with various technical and non-technical end users.
