BUSINESS ANALYST WITH SHAREPOITNT :NYC

Work experience:
* At least 5 years with demonstrated increasing responsibility of assignments in application specifications and design (business and functional requirements) leading to implemented solutions for middle to large size corporate applications.
* At least 3 of the 5 years should be within the realm of SharePoint.
* General common working familiarity and knowledge of PeopleSoft financials is a plus.

Responsibilities:
* Lead formulation and definition of system scope and objectives based on User needs, How the request impacts other systems and business processes, and industry requirements
* Document the defined solutions and processes
* Execute development, testing and deployment of solutions created for Microsoft SharePoint 2010
* Create custom SharePoint 2010 Workflows
* Assist with data evaluation and data migration from existing SharePoint 2003 and MOSS 2007 deployments
* Collaborate with Business Units throughout the Enterprise for application development and creating integration points with existing applications
* Assist in evaluation of existing and future tools for SharePoint 2010
* Ability to work in an agile development environment
* Actively participates in providing end user training

Functional Needs:
The successful Candidate will have abilities to work on the following functional areas:
* Ability to assess problems and solve them with a strong sense of urgency
* Proficient in managing projects
* Must be able to handle aggressive deadlines and juggle multiple responsibilities
* Analytical and creative thinker
* Able to interface with and make presentations to end users, managers, and IS team members
* Experience with any MOSS 2007 and/or SharePoint 2010 is desirable but not required
* Development experience with .Net applications, including SharePoint Customizations and Custom Web Parts is desirable but not required
* Experience with Intranet Development is a plus

Education:
* BA in computer science, management or relevant field.

Work Location: New York

Duration: 6+ Months
