Description:
Responsible for the design, development, coding, testing, debugging and documentation of applications to satisfy the requirements of one or more user areas. May include hands-on new development as well as support, maintenance or enhancement of existing applications. Works closely with client management to identify and specify complex business requirements and processes. Researches and evaluates alternative solutions and makes recommendations.
This position will be responsible for ETL development on business intelligence solutions and operational reporting for Default and Collections teams within Chase Home Finance. The individual selected will work closely with data modelers, business/data analysts and BI developers to understand requirements, develop ETL processes in support of these requirements, validate that they are meeting specifications, and ensure that any ETL issues raised during the testing phases are addressed prior to production migration. Resource will also be involved in knowledge transfer of development to Level 2 staff in production support team and for Level 3 production support for resolution of ETL related issues.
Key responsibilities of this position include:
• Time spent on requirements review, ETL process flow designs and walkthroughs, and data profiling/analysis of required source systems
• Time spent on ETL development to meet project objectives, unit testing of all developed objects, schedule development of overall process, performance fine-tuning and UAT issue resolution
• Time spent on developing migration packages to be applied by Production Support team in test and production environments and level 3 support on any production issues
• Project co-ordination and administrative activities
Qualifications:
• Minimum of 6 years of experience in Business Intelligence/Data Integration/ Data Warehousing space in multiple roles (business and technical), including experience mentoring and leading junior developers. Strong familiarity with key processes in the Data Warehouse lifecycle with proven track record in areas of responsibility listed above.
• Minimum of 5 years experience in working as a senior member of an ETL team with experience in mid to complex level MIS initiatives.
• Minimum of 6 years of experience in ETL development using Informatica.
• PL/SQL experience is a plus.
• At least 3 years of experience doing design reviews and technical design documents.
• Proven experience in the delivery of operational and analytical reporting needs.
• Experience with code reviews and UAT resolution of ETL issues.
• Detail oriented & able to successfully coordinate activities with business and technical teams with proven delivery record.
• Minimum of 6 years experience with Microsoft Office products including Excel and Access. Experience with project management tools a plus.
• Strong communication and ability to be effective in continuously changing environments. Able to work on multiple simultaneous development initiatives.
• Knowledge of the mortgage industry a plus.
Education/Experience:
Minimum : Bachelors in Information Technology or equivalent
Development and maintenance of applications.
