Job Description:
Mandatory Skills : SUN H/W and Software Skills • Sun Fire Servers • Sun Enterprise Servers • Sun One Web/LDAP Servers • Solaris Zones/Containers • Solaris LDom.s SAN Storage Skills • ZFS • Veritas Volume Manager • Veritas Filesystem • Veritas Netbackup • Sun Volume Manager • LVM • Veritas Cluster Server SAN Arrays • Responsible for design, infrastructure and implementation in SUN Env. • Infrastructure design in a mixed Windows/Solaris environment • Management and support of SUN environments including software and hardware upgrades, patch management. • Configure Solaris Zones and LDom.s. • Configure Solaris 10 using both FCP and iSCSI transports. • Investigate new releases and features of the Solaris fibre channel stack components for changes that could impact the SAN attach solution; components including but not limited to: Native drivers, HBAs, multipathing (MPxIO) SW, volume management, host clustering, installation/packaging, & bug fixes • Plan SAN storage allocations and storage migrations.
