PeopleSoft Payroll BA (70% functional and 30% technical)
Location: Providence, RI
Duration: 6 Months
The key deliverables from this role are as below -
responsibilities –
· Provide business analysis support for medium to large-scale projects as well as the day-to-day incidents related to North American Payroll, Time and Labor and HR by partnering with the business lines to identify opportunities to create more effective and efficient processes.
· Manage functional requirements by documenting current processes, analyzing alternatives and redesigning processes to implement the best solution using a fit/gap analysis.
· Develop functional specifications including process maps, functional design and test plans for projects requiring technical review and development. Act as a liaison between technical and functional teams.
· Work with the project management team to establish and monitor project tasks and milestones. Assist with facilitating communications and training needs in the use of HR processes and systems.
· Conduct/Co-ordinate the various testing cycles such as systems integration, regression, performance and user acceptance.
· Apply HR Change Management methodologies and processes to all changes. Work collaboratively on projects with the Group's 3rd Party Suppliers, Technology teams and HRSS Change Management Boards to develop, support & deliver business solutions for the entire Group.
· Investigate requests, identify continuous improvements/alternative solutions and make recommendations that are operationally and technically feasible whilst understanding the risks and impact of requests.
· Liaise with the different teams within HR Solutions to ensure a seamless customer experience from request to delivery
· Primarily responsible for PeopleSoft North American Payroll with ability to support and work on other HR modules
Minimum Qualifications –
· Bachelors degree or equivalent experience, advanced degree a plus.
· Experience/ Expertise or Knowledge of various PeopleSoft HCM modules (such as Core HR, TAM, CG, ESS, MSS, North American Payroll, Time and Labor etc.) required with strong focus on PeopleSoft Payroll for North America on Rel. 9.0/9.1
· 3-5 years experience with a combination of both HR information systems and one or more HR functions.
· Demonstrated experience with reporting tools such as SQL, PeopleSoft query or other reporting tools
· Experience using a structured project management and systems development methodology required.
· Strong problem solving and analytical skills.
Must have strong communication/presentation skills and an ability to communicate with all levels within the organization.
· Ability to work in a fast paced dynamic environment and handle multiple tasks.
· Excellent proven record of understanding business processes.
· Ability to interact with and advise the business in a non-technical capacity.
· A strong and effective process orientation (based on experience) of the delivery of systems solutions for the business i.e. a passion for ensuring the system is effective in a real business context.
· Ability to influence customers to adopt standard systems functionality where appropriate rather than to customize for little benefit.
· Show a strong delivery support and customer focused outlook.
· Ability to support new functionality from a sound understanding of customer needs and processes.
