HOT REQ: .Net Developer




Position: .Net Developer

Location: New York, NY

Duration: 2 Years


Note: 1) Need local to to NYC or who can come for In-person interview.

            2) Need Sr Developers.


There will most likely be NO phone interview for this role.  The manager likes to bring people in directly for in-person interviews in NYC.  This role will require 1 in-person.   

 

Basic Qualifications

We expect the successful candidate to have a proven track record delivering Windows client desktop applications using Microsoft .NET technology. The candidate will get to work with new and recent .Net technologies, such as WPF, WCF, MEF, Linq. They should demonstrate knowledge and interest in the whole .NET ecosystem (both current and forthcoming technologies). Prior experience of working within the Microsoft Office environment (including VSTO) would be a strong advantage, as would experience of server-side Java development. Knowledge of investment research and finance are not essential but experience in either of these areas would obviously provide a candidate with an advantage. Clear verbal and written communication skills will be crucial since the candidate must be able to gather requirements as well as influence and gain consensus for their designs with the global technology team. They should also be very comfortable to working with clearly defined project plans and be able to develop their own plans within a very short time.

 

MANDATORY

• A minimum of 5 years commercial experience

• Strong C# .NET skills

• Experience of applying software development methodologies to deliver robust, well tested solutions in a rapid TDD environment.

• Knowledge of WPF, WCF, WinForms, Linq

 

Preferred Qualifications

Practical experience working with the Microsoft Office platform and VSTO

• Experience of a Dependency Injection framework, e.g. Unity, Ninject, StructureMap.

• Experience of working with common build, test & productivity tools, e.g. CVS, Subversion, MsBuild, Hudson/ CruiseControl, N-Unit, N-Cover, JIRA, Quality Centre.

• Experience with server-side Java development. • Experience with Objective-C development. COMPETENCIES
