Title: SAP SD Functional consultant Location: Huston, TX Duration: Long Term JOB DESCRIPTION: Need Local to Huston only GC OR USC supporting SAP with functional and configuration knowledge of Sales and Distribution, Resource Related Billing (RRB) and Project Systems(milestone billing, project creation, WBS, resources). The successful candidate will support client's global SAP implementation in the Western Hemisphere. This position will be responsible for the analysis, design, implementation, and support of solutions for client activities in various business functions. This individual will work with Business Management and Executive Team Members to design and implement business process changes by integrating new systems and business processes with existing ones. • Each Functional Developer is responsible for • Support Functions Ø Monitoring service desk for user-reported problems. Ø Perform problem root cause analysis to implement solutions that prevent problem re-occurrence. Ø Develop documentation to facilitate on-going support. Ø Review systems and processes to reduce the total cost of ownership. Ø Create and deliver training materials as needed to foster a more effective use of SAP systems by the user community. Ø Prepare reporting to communicate the status of issue resolution to Information Technology and Business management and to identify trends for opportunities to improve the stability of the system. Ø Ability to handle a pipeline of numerous tickets, in terms of prioritization, categorization between break–fix and enhancements, etc. Ø Coordinate business users with SAP support activities carried out for events including scheduled maintenance downtime, system upgrades, software installations, job scheduling. • Devlopment Functions Ø Hands–on experience in all aspects of SAP Sales and Distribution/RRB, covering order to cash processes; Intercompany company process, contract management, resource related billing in service management module of SA P is highly desirable. Ø Strong configuration of SAP Sales and Distribution module involving sales inquires, quotations, sales order, shipping, invoicing, OTC (order to Cash), credit management, consignment, intercompany sales, rebates processing, ATP (Part - Availability to Promise/availability check) Ø Strong knowledge and configuration skills of pricing conditions and pricing techniques including complex pricing setup. Ø Strong knowledge and configuration skills of RRB resource related billing with or without service order. Ø A broad functional knowledge of supporting SD processes, including customer master and material master fields and their relationship to sales order processing. Ø Familiarity with BASIS and technical tools desirable. Examples: ABAP, SAP Query, user exit customization, debugging skills and communication protocols. Ø Manage system enhancement projects to support the new business requirements. Ø Writing functional/technical specification documents for programs, interfaces, us er-exits as well as BAPIs, BADIs and VOFM routines. Ø Cross functional integration knowledge between SAP R/3 SD, MM and FI with revenue account determination with integration to CO-PA modules as well as interfaces with third party applications. Ø Explore opportunities to leverage SAP to design / configure new solutions that add business value. Ø Perform methodology steps and maintain current documentation. Ø Creation and management of transports, including log analysis and object analysis within the transport. Ø Understanding of BI, EDI, CRM,Taxware, Customer Service(CS), Project Systems(PS) a plus. • Business Partnership Functions • Should be knowledgeable of all changes performed by other IT areas that affect their super users' network to give guidance to change management, training, regression test needs, updates to processes,… • Should work closely with Business Management and Executive Team Members to understand current and future business needs. • Work with users on best solutions to process issues. • Establish / evaluate business and IT metrics for business excellence opportunities. QUALIFICATIONS: • Proven skills in coordination and interpersonal skills. • Experienced in IT discipline. • Demonstrates project development and support skills. • Sound knowledge of business principles, processes and concepts related to manufacturing, service and distribution facility, including repetitive and job shop environments. • Degree in MIS, Computer Science or related field. • Meets industry and technical certification or accreditation requirements or equivalent, SAP certification a plus. • 5 years of Industry experience is plus. • 4-5 years functional experience with SAP SD/PS. • 3 years configuration experience with SAP SD/PS. • 4-5 years support experience with SAP SD/PS. • 3 Full life c ycle implementation of SAP SD/PS. • 3+ Years (recent) SAP Resource Related Billing experience. • Exposure/experience with BI usage is a plus. • Experience establishing KPIs metrics in SAP SD/PS required. • Experience using SAP-BPM and SAP-Solution Manager a plus. • Experience using SCOR techniques or related process documentation a plus. • Knowledge of workflow etc is optional. • Demonstrated problem-solving skills to analyze business requirements and translate them into SAP system-supported solutions. • Must be able to handle multiple priorities at one time and be very results-oriented. • Must work well both independently and in a team environment. Must be a self-starter. • Demonstrated change management skills. • Experience in a Re-engineering environment. TRAINING REQUIREMENTS: What training will an employee need to perform the duties of the position? o On going training in the functional/technical areas will be necessary to stay up with the latest techniques and capabilities available within the standard SAP solution set. It is expected, though, that this individual already has detailed knowledge in this functional / technical space. o Participate in ASUG sessions. • Attend SAP conferences, when funding is available RELATIONSHIP RESPONSIBILITIES: Indicate positions that report directly to this position. E/N Duties and Responsibilities E Responsible for the business process development in the SD (Pricing/ATP/RRB). E Strong configuration skills and extensive experience in the co nfiguration and implementation of SAP SD/PS/RRB module(s) to business processes and transaction flow. Will need limited ABAP debugging skills to assist with data analysis activities. E Participate on project team for implementation of SAP modules within business units E Assist in development and facilitation of end user training and train-the-trainer sessions using InfoPak or SAP uPerform. E Work with other locations on the coordination of global business process development and SAP configuration settings. E Work with business users and other IT team members on the cleansing of legacy system data and SAP migration/conversions. E Work with business users and other IT team members in the management and development of global master data management processes and procedures. E Support SAP production application E Interfaces with site IT personnel to accomplish project, enhancement, business re-engineering goals E Responsible for assigned projects, architecture and technical content and on time delivery of solutions E Reads material, attends meetings and classes to keep current with training and technology in focus area. E Assist in the development of lessons learned and Help Desk documentation for the support of SAP application.
