Environment Description: Web application based on Solaris 10, Oracle DB RAC and Oracle Fusion/Middleware stack
Should have around 6+ year of Unix experience with 3+ years of demonstrated experience and proficiency in managing and maintaining Sun Solaris environment, will be responsible for:
Installing, configuring and maintaining Sun/Oracle Servers (experience in T-Series & M-Series servers) Solaris 10 Experience is required Knowledge with UNIX Scripting (Bourne/Bash) is required Configuration and Management of Solaris Zones Configuration and Administration of ZFS Filesystems Installing and Maintaining Solaris Jumpstart for SPARC environment Patch and Package administration VMware ESX5 Installation and Configuration Linux and Windows Server experience is a plus NFS, DNS, LDAP, Sendmail/Postfix, SAMBA cfEngine configuration and Promise/Policy design is a plus Writing shell scripts to accomplish day to day system administration task Configuring and supporting domain on Sun Fire Servers Troubleshooting Hardware and Operating system related issues Capacity planning and fine tune system for optimal performance Understanding of SAN and NAS storage.
Configuring Unix Security baseline / Server hardening Troubleshooting Hardware and Operating system related issues Experience in System Fault Tolerance Design, Business continuity and Disaster recovery planning Understanding of CM controls of Infrastructure and Operating System configuration Understanding of Basic Network design (DMZ, port forwarding, sniffer, load balancers, proxies) Experience with Backup Policies and Backup systems (ie: Veritas/Symantec NetBackup) Experience with Hyperic Monitoring is a plus
