Job Title : McAfee Security Engineer

Locations: Pittsburgh, PA

Duration : 12+ Months

Extension Possible: Yes

Hours per week: 40

 

Role Description:

The McAfee Security Engineer will be responsible for the proper operation of the McAfee suite of security solutions currently in place in a large enterprise environment. The role will be required to apply best practices in the operation of McAfee ePO, McAfee Endpoint Encryption for PCs (EEPC), and McAfee Host and Network Data Loss Prevention (DLP) to maintain and enhance the security posture on networks, hosts, and desktops.

 

Skills:

The McAfee Security Engineer will provide daily operations duties related to the management and maintenance of the network, host and desktop security technologies in the production environment:

1. Deploy technology updates and ensure ongoing vendor support and licensing

2. Monitor and report on security data generated by the McAfee solutions

3. Resolve and document complex security issues including root cause analysis, prevention and workarounds

4. Identify process and technical improvements for the environment

5. Report on ticket status and updates on issues when in progress

6. Provide outstanding technical support and customer service

 

Act as subject matter expert for security technology planning:

• Participate in architecture design sessions, product deployment planning, tuning, and knowledge transfer for McAfee products

• Establish and maintain configurations and policies

• Conduct knowledge transfer with staff so that policies can be developed and maintained

• Write deliverables and complete project documentation

• Maintain relationships with the client by providing support, information, and guidance as well as research and recommend new solutions and services
