Role: Sr. Java developer

Location: FortWorth, TX

Duration: 6+ Months

 

Required Skills:

 

• 4+ yrs of experience with Object-Oriented Programming, particularly in Java
• Core Java, EJB 2.0, Hibernate, Spring
• Demonstrated expertise in creating cross-browser user interfaces using object-oriented JavaScript, HTML, CSS, and XML
• Experience on UNIX, Linux, WebSphere App Server
• Taste for simplicity and elegance in technical design and implementation as well as an appreciation for test driven development and building software the right way
• Significant Open Source contributions and experience with server-side Java technologies and major application servers
• Verbal and written communication skills, problem solving skills, customer service and interpersonal skills

Ability to work independently and manage one's time 

 

Roles and Responsibilities:

 

• Design, build or maintain Web apps
• Identify problems uncovered by testing or customer feedback and correct problems
• Evaluate code to ensure it is valid, meets industry standards and is compatible with devices or operation systems
• Confer with management or development teams to prioritize needs, resolve conflicts, develop content criteria or choose solutions

Develop or validate test routines and schedules to ensure that test cases mimic external interfaces

• Very Good Customer communication
• Ability to delegate to offshore and report status to customer
