Mandatory Skills : Java, J2Ee, XML – Parsing, XPATH/XQUERY, Ruby on Rails

Ability to produce High Level Design and Solution Architecture documents – Object, Data models, Sequence diagrams etc..

 

Description: IMTEP is looking for a senior developer with

·         Ability to produce High Level Design and Solution Architecture documents – Object, Data models, Sequence diagrams etc..

·         Ability to do high level framework and OO development using J2EE and .NET (it is okay to have experience in one and willingness to learn the other).

·         Prior knowledge on search technologies like SOLR, Lucene, LingPipe and No SQL databases like MongoDB and CouchDB would be a plus

·         Ability to manage a team of few developers and deliver on requirements

·         Ability to learn new languages like Ruby on Rails and produce prototypes

·         Good knowledge of XML – Parsing, XPATH/XQUERY etc.

·         Ability to multi-task projects

·         Excellent oral, written and analytical skills

·         Excellent inter-personal and communication skills

 

This position will report to the IMTEP unit.

Responsibilities:

The Senior developer is expected to work closely with ISGIS technical staff and support them in a number of ongoing projects. The key tasks are

·         High level design and solution architecture

·         Search based systems framework and development in J2EE

·         Willingness to learn and work with agile development technology like Ruby on Rails and search technologies like Lucene, SOLR and Exalead

·         Some experience with iterative mode of development will be useful.

·         Connect to multiple data sources – Oracle, My SQL, MS SQL, SAP and XML based services.

·         The Senior developer is expected to work closely with IMTEP staff who will provide direction and guidance.

Deliverables: Deliverables include artifacts relating to activities outlined such as design documents, Object and Data models , framework development and other artifacts as directed by the Bank project manager.
