Sharepoint Consultant
Location: Purchase, New York
Duration: Long Term Contract
The primary focus of this role is on the deployment and support of a Global SharePoint 2010 Platform.
This role will involve a combination of the following: SharePoint business analysis, vendor management of hosted application provider and outsourced support team along with SharePoint support.
It is expected that then chosen candidate with act as the operational lead for our SharePoint implementation.
Major Accountabilities:
• Day to Day Management of our outsourced partner in support of our Global SharePoint platform/helpdesk.
• Maintains working knowledge of SharePoint as a Super User and can facilitate the creation of RoadMaps.
• Ability to create or lead the creation of processes, procedures, support flow and how to documentation.
• Track support trends and create corrective solutions through training and end-user communication channels
o Analysis of advanced end-user needs to determine and recommend solution options
o Assist with SharePoint end-user access management process
o Create and maintain technical documentation, test plans and implementation plans
o Willingness to be on call after hours
o Ability to foster relationships across the Enterprise in support of a âœChampionâ network.
Required qualifications:
Education:
-BS/BE Degree in a Technology oriented major or the equivalent job related experience.
Experience:
• 3+ yrs experience working with SharePoint in an operational role as a technical lead with 1+ yrs focusing on SharePoint 2010.
• 3+ yrs of experience dealing with End Users and facilitation of solutions to meet identified needs.
• 2+ yrs of experience in managing outsourced partners.
• 6+ years working in the support and management of vended applications.
• Strong knowledge of Internet Explorer 8 and above
o Understanding of full SharePoint architecture and ecosystem
o Experience with advanced functionality with SharePoint Lists and Libraries
o Strong knowledge of SharePoint integration points with Outlook, Exchange, Office, Lync and other solutions
Preferred Experience:
• The ideal candidate would have a working understanding or ability to do the following:
o Management of My Sites as it relates to the profile, content and end-user social media hub
o Optimizing Enterprise Search -Understanding ofSharePoint WebParts
o Experience with SharePoint metadata included managed metadata, content types and tags
o Understanding of general Active Directory and authentication flow
o Understanding of standard network traffic flow as it relates to SharePoint
o NewsGator Social Sites and Nintex Workflow a plus
o Experience with SharePoint on mobile devices a plus
Skills/ Abilities:
• Strong people and customer support skills
• Strong analysis and business process understanding
• Effective problem management and troubleshooting skills
• Must possess excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Self-starter with strong leadership abilities
