Job Title : Data Analyst / Modeler

Job Location : Santa clara,CA

Duration : 6 Months

 

Data Analyst

 Data Analyst / Modeler with expertise in data mining and reporting using SPSS, SQL, and Excel

·  Developing data queries for reporting, ensuring high data quality and accurate information to support scorecard management and other stakeholders.

·  Analyzing large datasets and preparing reports. Presenting this analysis (directly or indirectly) to Management in a clear, concise and actionable format and developing plans and recommendations for mitigating strategies and techniques.

·  Performing quantitative analysis to optimize automated credit scoring environment, incorporating both profitability and risk measures.

·  Identifying drivers of risk costs and estimating the expected losses for different customer segments. Executing other business analyses to identify and manage both risks and opportunities to improve business performance.

 

Requirements:

 

·  3+ years of experience in finance, data analysis and business analyses.

·  Advanced degree preferred, Bachelor's degree required in Economics, Finance, Mathematics, or other quantitative discipline.

·  Experience extracting data from various databases and analyzing large data sets for conversion into useful business information.

·  Experience executing quantitative analyses using statistical programs (SPSS, SAS) and reporting using standard database query language (Hyperion / SQL).

·  Advanced Excel / VBA skills 

Or if the person has management consulting experience or has an MBA from a competitive school, we will also consider.
