Description:

IT Testing Coordinator who will have primary responsibilities to include all testing activities within a project from strategy and plan to test execution and defect management.

 

Principal Accountabilities:

• 7+ years' experience in software testing
• 3-5+ years as a test lead; operates independently, directs test analysts and testers, coordinates test activities with other roles such as project manager, development lead and change management.
• Understand and review the detailed objectives & requirements, raising clarifications to the product owner as needed
• Develop, publish and maintain project test strategy
• Develop a test plan for each Sprint and release cycle

 

Responsibilities:

1. Responsibilities also include decision-making, risk assessment, task prioritization/assignment, project performance feedback, communication, long term planning, problem/issue/conflict resolution, customer service, and client relations. 
2. Assists with or participates in and/or provides guidance for small-scale assignments with minimal direction from senior staff. 
3. Assists with the preparation of estimates, evaluations, and recommendations.
4. Work with the team to refine the Definition of Done
5. Support development of test cases needed to test acceptance criteria for each story card and deliver a quality product to the customer
6. Review all test artifacts
7. Manage defect lifecycle process
8. Monitor issue/risk/defect process to ensure that problems are fixed, retested, and closed according to the defect management strategy
9. Monitoring of daily testing progress
10. Leveraging testing tools such as HP ALM and SharePoint
11. Engaging other testing leads as needed (Performance Lead and Automation Lead) and coordinate efforts
12. Provide test metrics and reports
13. Work with Project Manager, Scrum Master and Product Owner to provide regular progress/status reports, and escalate risks and issues
