Job Title: DevOps Consultant

Location: Santa Clara, CA

Duration: 12+ Months

 

RoleResponsibilities
Direct global operations for cloud-based management solution for clients
Manage the application lifecycle from development environments through to Production. Plan and direct pre-Production and Production upgrades for all geographic locations
Contribute to architecting of application and hosting environments
Assign and prioritize tasks for team members, and follow their progress through to completion
Act as the main liaison between Operations and the R&D team, Product Management, Program Management and other groups
DevOps support, including deployment and ongoing management of R&D infrastructure vital to the development process
Evaluate new technologies and integrate those that will add value and drive operational efficiency

Qualifications
Requirements
2+ years of DevOps experience
Understanding the concepts and best practices related to application lifecycle process, public and private cloud, DevOps, high availability, disaster recovery, monitoring and automation, change management, networking and firewalls, security
Expert knowledge of Linux (CentOS) and Windows operating systems
Experience with MySQL, MongoDB, Apache, IIS, HA Proxy, Puppet, Python
Knowledge of VMware and AWS
Experience working with software programmers and quality assurance engineers
Preferences
Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent
