Java Architect

 

Location: Smithfeild, RI ( no remote)

 

Duration: 6 months contract to hire ( Must be citizen or GC)

 

Payrate during contract period: $60-70/hr. w2

 

Must have skills:

 

5 years of experience with Java J2SE 1.4, 1.5, 1.6 and 1.7 , Java Application Development (Web applications, JMS Enterprise Messaging(IBM MQ or RabbitMQ or ActiveMQ) ), JBOSS Fuse, JBOSS EAP, WebServices with SOAP and Rest

 

3 years of experience with Java Frameworks(Spring, Struts, Camel, ActiveMQ, JDBC) Java Containers(Tomcat, ServiceMix) Maven Builds, SVN Repositories, SQL (PL/SQL) and Service Oriented Architecture (SOA)

 

Job Description

Position Summary

The Java Architect - Senior will lead the Java Architecture for the Java development team within the customer Data Warehouse.  Architect will also work closely with the business analysts and project management team to design and architect highly scalable systems to meet the business requirements.

The Java Architect - Senior will coach and mentor Java Developers; define and develop architecture standards and best practices, evaluate and recommend new technologies and tools, and provide technical leadership on development projects.  Their primary responsibility is to review, update, maintain Java  related system architecture documentation, and create Java detail design documents that will be followed by the java developers to build the applications.

 

Additional responsibilities include:

 

Communicating functional/technical requirements to application development teams and tracking work status.

Problem solving and troubleshooting design and development issues and provide appropriate solutions.

Assist in deploying/migrating product within production environment; serve as the subject matter expert for systems in production - helping to ensure a stable, robust production environment.

 

Required Qualifications
