Sr Linux Engineer/Architect -- Bridgewater,NJ -- 6+ Months

THE CONSULTANT MUST BE GC OR CITIZEN AND SHOULD ATTEND F2F INTERVIEW.

 

Location: Bridgewater,NJ

Duration: 6+ Months

Description:

1. Must be SME in Linux with strong experience in HP-UX as there are legacy HP-UX environments that will need to be migrated. Data Center and Operations experience a must.
2. Must be able to be a lead engineer with expert architect and design skillset.  Fundamentally will be building future Linux environment for company
3. Automation and Cloud is important.
4. Very high visability position! Must be able to communicate with technical teams as well as business units. Excellent verbal and written skills a must!

 

-              Demonstrated experience in designing, implementing, and managing Linux and HPUX systems at Enterprise level

-              Demonstrated experience in designing, implementing, and managing Veritas InfoScale (VCS)

-              Demonstrated experience in migrating systems from HPUX to Linux

-              Data center, server and storage migrations/consolidation experience is highly desirable.

-              Experience with HP containers is desirable

-              Experience with public cloud (Azure/AWS) is desirable

-              Experience with Cisco UCS blades, HP Itanium blade hardware is desirable.

-              Experience in designing and deploying centralized patching system for Linux hosts

-              Experience in designing and deploying Single Sign On  system. working knowledge of multi-forest Active Directory environment.

-              Licensing (Centralized Licensing)

-              Develop road map for migrating legacy operating systems to latest OS.

-              Automate/script user access reports for audits 

-              Develop Security around Linux systems

-              Develop scripts as necessary.

-              Support Linux/HPUX Environment.

-              Strong troubleshooting skills (Hardware & Software). And, Understanding of routers, firewalls and switches

-              Comparison of functionality ( with HPUX and develop similar/required features in Linux as we migrate from HPUX to Linux )
