Title: Manager of Software Engineering

Location: Los Angeles, CA

DIRECT HIRE

Salary: Up to $150K

Interview Process: Telephone, Face to Face Interview

 

JOB DESCRIPTION:

• Work closely with product managers and stakeholders to align development priorities and planning with the product road map
• Prepare and present engineering related documents to stakeholders and leadership
• Provide recommendations and feedback in code reviews, design reviews, and other software engineering activities
• Stay abreast of engineering best practices, technology trends, tools and frameworks
• Daily supervise, manage, and mentor software engineering staff
• Responsible for the recruiting process of engineering team members
• Conduct performance reviews and assist team members with their professional development
• Conduct and assist with investigation, test and deployment activities, identify and mitigate risks in development activities

 

REQUIRED SKILLS:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Business, or Technology
• Minimum of 8 years' experience in leading software development with a minimum of 3 years' supervisory experience
• Java 1.6 or above software development; SQL, JPQL, or NSQL programming; Developing for Linux environments
• Strong testing, debugging, and troubleshooting skills; Experience with Test Driven Development and functional testing
• Experience with maintaining SaaS solution, including High Availability and High Scalability
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven, team environment
