Job Title: DB2 Database Developer with Netezza
Location: Charlotte, NC
Longterm
Must have strong DB2 background with DB2 Database Development/ Engineering experience.
Netezza experience is a plus but will take a candidate with just DB2 database experience
* The DB2 skills are important and the manager needs it - Must have in depth experience with DB2 as an application developer; using stored procedures, user defined functions and embedded SQL
* Must have in depth experience with DB2 as an application developer; using stored procedures, user defined functions and embedded SQL in other Programming Language
* Expertise in DB2 data modelling, DB2 performance tuning, and writing materialized queries, triggers and stored procedures.
* Expertise in Mainframe COBOL-DB2-CICS-Java programming under MVS Z OS and Linux operating systems.
Netezza experience preferred but not mandatory:
* Using NZ_Admin tool to check the hardware issues as well as data skew, stats, backup, database size
* Must be able to conduct sessions to help explain teams about the Netezza architecture and design.
* Health monitoring of Netezza hardware and working with IBM Support PMR's if any issue
* Experience using NZSQL/NZLOAD utilities and developed LINUX Shell scripts to load data from flat files to Netezza database
* Performing various DML, DDL etc operations on Netezza database by using AginityNetezza work bench.
* Wrote several Netezza SQL scripts to load the data between Netezza tables.
* Improving the performance of batch with optimizing and tuning the Netezza SQLs to Redesigning Informatica mapping to handle multiple updates and deletes.
* Reclaiming the space for tables, databases using Netezza groom.
* Managing the data skew at all the Netezza tables.
