Description:
Sr./Principal Hardware Engineer

We are developing and building proof of concepts for potential future consumer electronics products and are looking for a senior level or principal level hardware engineer to bring our vision into reality.

If you love to be hands on from defining system architecture, concept prototyping, and eventually enabling mass production while working with a world class, highly accomplished team, we would love to talk with you.

As a Hardware Engineer, you will drive the electrical design and collaborate extensively across functions to enable product features and optimized performance. This includes, defining system architecture, chipset selection and evaluation, ODM management and evaluation. You will be responsible for the development of Electrical/HW systems and wireless integration. You will be an integral part of creative, agile and motivated team.

In this role, you will:
• Contribute in the architecture and system level design decisions
• Contribute to the schematics/layout and cross-functional integration with manufacturers and silicon partners
• Work with vendors, technology suppliers and cross-functional staff to optimize wireless performance
• Define HW test requirements, design and implement in-house test systems, debug and resolve issues, and manage the process to ensure our products and product concepts conform to all applicable standards
• When we move from concept to development stages, support product manufacturing and manufacturing test activities
• Take the product development from concept, through development, testing and sustaining
• Support the manufacturing and manufacturing test of the product
• Work with Software, product design and compliance teams

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
• Bachelor's degree in Electronic Engineering or a related field
• 7+ years of experience in board level design, component selection, board bring up and prototyping
• Understanding of wireless technologies including wi-fi and Bluetooth
• Experience with methodical and scientific test and measurement approach

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
• Experience in cellular technologies, chipsets, and modems, and associated test procedures
• Experience in design for cost and manufacturing process of consumer products
• Contacts with key technology suppliers and major chipset vendors in the wireless space
• Record of successful product launch as part of product team
• Master's degree
• DFM and high volume, cost sensitive manufacturing support experience
• Demonstrated analytical skills and high attention to detail
