Role: Senior Software Engineer(Embedded C++ Engineer )
Location: Santa Clara, CA
Duration:6 months
Position: Contract
Experience: 15+
Skills: C++11, Embedded Linux systems, Medical device experience (IEC 62304).
 
 
Key Responsibilities:
 
• Develop robust and safe C++11 code in multi-threaded, real-time environments.
• Build specifications and requirements based onclinical and user inputs.
• Work closely with Electrical, Embedded andControl Systems engineers.
 
Qualifications:
• B.S or M.S. degree in Computer Science,Robotics or related field.
• Minimum 8 years of relevant experience inwriting C++ production software.
• Experience writing time-critical code on RTOS(QNX, VxWorks, Real-Time Linux)
• Proficient in computer science fundamentals.
• Experience with communication protocols likeCAN/CANOpen, EtherCAT or RTI.
 
Preferred:
• C++11 experience.
• Minimum 12 years of experience writing C++production software
• Medical device experience (IEC 62304).
• Experience in embedded Linux systems withYocto Project: Device drivers, Yocto image etc.
• Comfortable in debugging software whichcontrols hardware devices.
 
Other:
This position is located in Santa Clara, California andcan be 50% remote
